Working the Pipeline
Moving candidates through stages, and configuring stages themselves
Each job has a pipeline: a Kanban-style board of stages you drag candidates through. Prefer a spreadsheet-style view? Toggle to table view from the same page.
Moving candidates
Drag a candidate card to a new stage, or use the table view's stage dropdown. If a stage has a required step label, you'll need to tag the candidate with it before HireFlow lets the move happen. It's a guardrail to make sure evaluation actually happened.
Configuring stages
Owners, admins, and hiring managers can edit a job's pipeline stages:
- Add, rename, recolor, reorder, or delete a stage.
- Mark a stage as the rejection stage (where declined candidates go).
- Require a step label before a candidate can enter a stage.
- Attach automations to a stage, so something happens automatically when a candidate lands there.
- Revert to the global template if a job's pipeline has drifted and you want to reset it back to your organization's default.
Reverting a pipeline
Reverting to the global template replaces this job's stage configuration. Candidates already in the pipeline keep their current stage, but any job-specific stages, automations, or step labels not in the template are removed.
